The Sun Hydraulics DKHPLDN (DKHPLDN) is a high-performance, normally closed, balanced poppet switching element designed for hydraulic systems. This valve operates with a unique balanced construction that ensures predictable switching and allows it to handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. The valve features an integral pilot relief stage which determines the pilot pressure required to shift the valve. When this pilot pressure is reached, the poppet shifts to an open position, allowing fluid flow until the pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value, at which point it reseats. The DKHPLDN incorporates Sun's floating style construction which minimizes potential internal parts binding that could result from excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This design feature enhances the reliability and longevity of the valve in demanding applications. The minimal leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is typically less than 10 drops/min at 5000 psi (0.7 cc/min at 350 bar), ensuring efficient operation with minimal fluid loss. All ports on this valve can accommodate pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar), and any backpressure at the drain port directly adds to the valve setting, enhancing its versatility across various hydraulic setups. Ports are fully sealed to maintain integrity and prevent cross-contamination between channels. The DKHPLDN is suitable for applications requiring high flow capacity up to 60 gpm (240 L/min) and precise control over hydraulic operations, making it a robust choice for sophisticated hydraulic circuits requiring reliable performance under high-pressure conditions.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
