The Sun Hydraulics DKJPLDV (DKJPLDV) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for precise fluid control in various applications. This normally closed, balanced poppet switching element operates effectively up to a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve features unique construction that provides reliable and predictable switching between its ports. It only shifts to an open position when the pilot pressure at port 3 surpasses the preset value determined by the integral pilot relief stage. The DKJPLDV is engineered to maintain very low leakage rates, typically less than 10 drops per minute at 5000 psi, ensuring efficient operation and minimal fluid loss. This model is built with Sun's floating style construction which minimizes potential internal parts binding, a common issue caused by excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This design enhancement significantly enhances the valve's operational reliability and lifespan. With a robust capacity of up to 120 gpm (480 L/min), the DKJPLDV can handle substantial flow rates making it suitable for demanding hydraulic systems. The valve accommodates up to 5000 psi across all ports and requires a minimum pilot pressure of 300 psi (20 bar) to shift, providing versatility in application across different system pressures. Each component, from its adjustment screws to locknuts, is crafted for easy installation and adjustment, with specific hex sizes and torque settings outlined for optimal performance setup. Overall, the Sun Hydraulics DKJPLDV offers advanced hydraulic control with its durable construction and precise operational capabilities, making it an excellent choice for systems requiring reliable high-pressure performance.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
