The Sun Hydraulics DKJPLWN (DKJPLWN) is a highly efficient hydraulic valve designed for robust performance in various applications requiring precise fluid control. This model is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element that operates effectively under high pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve features an integral pilot relief stage which allows the poppet to shift to the open position once the pilot pressure at port 3 surpasses the pre-set threshold. This design ensures reliable operation and predictable switching behaviors. The DKJPLWN valve is uniquely constructed to prevent leakage between port 1 and port 2, maintaining a very low leakage rate typically less than 10 drops/min at maximum operating pressure. It is engineered with Sun's floating style construction which minimizes internal parts binding, enhancing durability and performance consistency even under varying installation torques and cavity/cartridge machining variations. This model also incorporates multiple ports that are fully sealed, ensuring no cross-contamination between the ports while any backpressure at the drain port directly adds to the valve setting. The valve will reseat when pilot pressure drops to 85% of its cracking value, providing an additional layer of operational security. With a capacity of up to 120 gpm (480 L/min) and minimal pilot pressure requirement of 300 psi (20 bar) for shifting, this valve stands out for its high flow capacity and responsiveness in demanding conditions.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.

  • Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
  • Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
  • Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
  • Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
  • Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
  • All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
