The Sun Hydraulics DMDADAN214 (DMDADAN214) is a high-performance solenoid-operated 3-way, 2-position cartridge valve. Engineered for direct-acting operation, this balanced spool directional valve does not require a minimum hydraulic pressure to function effectively. Its design incorporates a fatigue-rated solenoid tube assembly suitable for up to 5000 psi (350 bar) service, ensuring reliable performance under high-pressure conditions. The valve features closed transitions between Spools B and R, enhancing performance by providing faster and more consistent response times particularly when used as pilot controls. This model is equipped with a manual override which has a detent mechanism designed for temporary actuation, making it highly suitable for applications requiring manual control without continuous operation. The mechanical life expectancy of the manual control assembly is approximately 7,000 cycles. Additionally, the DMDADAN214 utilizes EPDM seals recommended for use with phosphate ester fluids; however, these seals are vulnerable to damage when exposed to petroleum-based fluids.
