The Sun Hydraulics DMDADNV223 (DMDADNV223) is a high-performance solenoid-operated 3-way, 2-position cartridge valve designed for precise control in hydraulic systems. This direct-acting, balanced spool directional valve functions efficiently with a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and a flow capacity of 12 gpm (45 L/min). It features a rapid response time of approximately 50 ms and is capable of handling up to 15,000 switching cycles per hour, ensuring reliability and durability in demanding applications. The DMDADNV223 valve is equipped with EPDM seals suitable for use with phosphate ester fluids, though these seals must be protected from exposure to petroleum-based fluids to avoid damage. The valve's wet armature design helps in heat dissipation but requires consideration regarding the type of fluid used, especially those prone to degradation at higher temperatures like water-glycol mixtures.
