The Sun Hydraulics DODPKAN (DODPKAN) is a normally open, balanced poppet switching element designed for precise hydraulic control applications. This component features a unique balanced construction that allows for predictable switching at pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains open until the pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, subsequently shifting to a closed position. The valve is hydraulically balanced between ports 1 and 2, ensuring low leakage rates of less than 10 drops/min at maximum operating pressure. The DODPKAN incorporates Sun's floating style construction, minimizing internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. It requires a minimum pilot pressure of 400 psi (28 bar) to shift and can handle a capacity of up to 15 gpm (60 L/min). All ports are capable of accepting pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar), with ports being fully sealed from each other to maintain system integrity. This valve is suitable for applications requiring reliable switching performance under high-pressure conditions while maintaining low leakage and operational stability.

This is a normally open, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains open until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the closed position.
