The Sun Hydraulics DRAXLCV (DRAXLCV) is a normally closed, direct-acting 2-way directional cartridge with an external drain, designed primarily as a pilot unloading valve. This valve is engineered to sense pressure in one circuit and switch or unload a valve in another circuit. When the pressure at port 1 surpasses the valve's setting, the spool shifts, connecting port 2 to port 3. The pilot area at port 1 and the spring chamber drain at port 4 are positively sealed, ensuring reliable operation with minimal leakage. Specifically, there is a spool leakage between work ports 2 and 3 of less than 20 drops per minute (approximately 1.4 cc/min), making it highly efficient for precise applications.
