The Sun Hydraulics DRBACAN is a normally open, direct-acting, 2-way directional cartridge valve designed for use in moderate flow circuits. It can function independently or be used to actuate larger pilot-operated directional or logic cartridges. The valve operates by shifting when the pressure differential between port 1 and port 3 exceeds the set threshold. Notably, pressure at port 3 directly adds to the valve's setting, which may limit its use as a work port in certain circuits; in such cases, a 4-port version might be more suitable. This direct-acting design ensures low internal leakage and minimal pilot flow consumption. Normally open, direct-acting, 2-way directional cartridges are switching devices typically used in moderate flow circuits.
