The Sun Hydraulics DSGHXDV (DSGHXDV) is a lowside hot oil shuttle cartridge designed for diverting hot oil from the low-pressure side of closed loop systems. This valve operates by spring-centering to an all-ports-blocked position when work ports 2 and 4 are at equal pressures. When pressure increases in one of these ports, the opposite port connects to the common port, port 3. A hydraulic stop within the spool prevents mechanical impact, reducing potential internal damage and enabling a small pilot flow from the high-pressure work port to the common port. This feature allows for confirmation of the hot oil relief setting with the transmission in neutral. Users must exercise caution when selecting shift pressure due to potential low shift values inadvertently shifting the valve with charge pump pressure alone. The valve fits into a 4-port cavity (T33A), though its nose port (port 1) is unused, and incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style construction to minimize binding risks from excessive installation torque or machining variations. Low-side (hot oil) shuttle cartridges allow hot oil to be diverted from the low pressure side of a closed loop system. When both work ports (ports 2 and 4) are at equal pressures the valve is spring-centered to an all-ports-blocked position. When one of the work ports (port 2 or 4) sees a higher pressure the opposite work port is connected to the common port (port 3).
