The Sun Hydraulics FCCBCAV (Material Number: FCCBCAV) is a fixed orifice, pressure-compensated flow control valve with a reverse flow check feature, designed to ensure precise flow regulation in meter-in or meter-out applications, especially where there are significant pressure fluctuations. This model includes an integral high-capacity check valve that allows unrestricted flow from port 2 to port 1. The user specifies the desired flow setting, which is then factory-set with a precision of within 10% of the requested value. The sharp-edged orifice design significantly reduces variations in flow due to changes in fluid viscosity. Additionally, the tuneable control option offers a 25% variation from the nominal factory preset flow, adjustable by turning clockwise to increase. Notably, all two-port flow control cartridges are interchangeable in terms of function and physical size for a given frame size; however, cartridge extension dimensions may vary slightly from the mounting surface. The FCCBCAV model is designed for use in corrosive environments and can be configured with external stainless steel components (suffix AP) or zinc-nickel plated components (suffix LH). It also features Sun's floating style construction to minimize potential binding of internal parts due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. With a cavity type T-13A and series 1 capacity of up to 6 gpm (23 L/min), this valve operates at a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). It requires an installation torque of 30-35 lbf ft (41-47 Nm) and features an internal hex size adjustment screw of 5/32 inch (4 mm). The locknut hex size is 9/16 inch (15 mm), with a torque requirement of 80-90 lbf in (9-10 Nm). The model weighs approximately .30 lb (.15 kg) and uses Viton seal kits for optimal performance.

Fixed-orifice, pressure-compensated flow controls with reverse-flow check provide precise flow regulation for meter-in or meter-out applications where there may be wide pressure fluctuations. An integral high-capacity check valve provides unrestricted flow from port 2 to port 1. The flow setting is specified by the user and is set at the factory.
- Customer must specify a flow rating. Factory set flow ratings are within +/- 10% of the requested setting.
- The sharp-edged orifice design minimizes flow variations due to viscosity changes.
- The tuneable control option provides +/- 25% variation from the nominal factory pre-set flow. Turn the adjustment clockwise to increase.
- All 2-port flow control cartridges are physically and functionally interchangeable (i.e. same flow path, same cavity for a given frame size). However, cartridge extension dimensions from the mounting surface may vary.
- Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP for external stainless steel components, or /LH for external zinc-nickel plated components. See the CONFIGURATION section for all options. For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page located under TECH RESOURCES.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
