The Sun Hydraulics FKGALCV (Material Number: FKGALCV) is a 2-way, 2-position proportional throttle valve designed to provide precise flow control in hydraulic systems. Ports 2 and 3 are normally closed, and pilot pressure at port 1 creates a metering orifice between these ports that adjusts proportionally to the pressure at port 1. This design allows for partial self-compensation as load pressure varies. The valve can be pressure compensated using an external modulating logic element, such as LRCXHN for bypass circuits or LPCXHN for restrictive circuits, enhancing flow control accuracy over a broader range of flows and pressures.
