The Sun Hydraulics FLDAXDN (Material Number: FLDAXDN) is a high-performance filter element designed for hydraulic systems, specifically as a Surface Type Last Chance element. This component features a 304 stainless steel mesh media and all internal components are also constructed from 304 stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. The filter is engineered with a flow path from Port 2 to Port 1 and should not be operated in reverse, even if a reverse free flow check valve is installed. It boasts a differential crush pressure of 3000 psid (210 bar), making it suitable for high-pressure applications. The FLDAXDN is intended to be installed directly above the subplate, providing protection for the entire valve stack from errant particles that may bypass the main system filter or arise from component failures. With a nominal rating of 40 microns and an absolute rating of 63 microns, this filter captures fine particles effectively. Its Surface Type design includes a single layer stainless steel mesh supported by a perforated sheet tube, which ensures strength and reliability. This filter element has a capacity of up to 10 gpm (40 L/min) and can withstand maximum operating pressures of up to 5000 psi (350 bar).
