The Sun Hydraulics FPCCDCV924N (FPCCDCV924N) is a sophisticated electroproportional throttle valve designed to provide precise flow control in hydraulic systems. This normally closed valve is spring-biased, ensuring it remains closed until the coil is energized. Upon energizing, the coil generates an opening force on the spool that is proportional to the command current, counterbalanced by both spring and flow forces. This mechanism results in a metering orifice with an effective size proportional to the current, allowing for self-compensated flow control from port 1 to port 2 and proportional flow control from port 2 to port 1 when paired with an external compensator. The valve can handle full reverse flow without a compensator under all conditions when fully commanded in the 2 to 1 direction. Available in both normally open and normally closed configurations, this valve offers three capacity ranges and operates at pressures up to 5000 psi. This valve is a normally-closed, electro-proportional throttle. The valve is spring biased closed. Energizing the coil generates an opening force on the spool proportional to the command current and this force is countered by the spring and flow forces. This force balance creates a metering orifice whose effective size is proportional to the current. The valve exhibits a large degree of self-compensation in the 1 to 2 direction and will provide proportional flow control in the 2 to 1 direction with the addition of an external compensator. Full reverse flow (2 to 1) with 100% command in the 2 to 1 direction is possible without a compensator under all conditions.
