The Sun Hydraulics FREAXAN (Material Number: FREAXAN) is a bypass-restrictive, fixed-orifice, priority flow control valve designed to manage hydraulic flow efficiently. It takes an input flow at port 1 and prioritizes the output at port 3, with any excess flow bypassed to port 2 for potential use in secondary circuits. The flow rating must be specified by the customer and is factory set within a 10% range of the requested setting. The valve's maximum pressure at port 3 is limited to 3000 psi (210 bar), while its maximum operating pressure can reach up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The FREAXAN can handle a capacity of up to 25 gpm (95 L/min) and a maximum input flow of 60 gpm (240 L/min). This model features a tunable adjustment control option that allows for up to a 22% variation from the nominal factory preset flow, adjustable via three turns of an internal hex screw. Both priority and bypass flows are usable up to system operating pressure, with priority remaining relatively constant regardless of input variation.
