The Sun Hydraulics FRFAKBV (Material Number: FRFAKBV) is a bypass-restrictive, fixed-orifice, priority flow control valve designed to manage hydraulic flow efficiently. It takes input flow at port 1 and prioritizes it to port 3, with any excess flow being diverted to port 2 for secondary circuit use. The valve requires a customer-specified flow rating, with factory settings accurate within \u00b110% of the request. It can handle a maximum pressure of 3000 psi (210 bar) at port 3 and incorporates a tuneable adjustment control allowing up to a \u00b122% variation from the nominal preset flow. This adjustment is achieved through three turns of an internal hex screw, increasing the flow when turned clockwise. The valve's design includes Sun's floating style construction to minimize internal binding risks due to excessive torque or machining variations. It fits into the T-19A cavity and belongs to Series 4, offering a capacity of up to 50 gpm (200 L/min) and handling maximum input flows of up to 120 gpm (480 L/min). The sharp-edged orifice design ensures minimal flow variations despite viscosity changes in the fluid. Installation specifications include a valve hex size of 1-5/8 inches (41.3 mm), with installation torque ranging from 350 to 375 lbf-ft (475 to 508 Nm). The locknut requires torque between 80 and 90 lbf-in (9 to 10 Nm), ensuring secure placement without risking operational integrity. Weighing in at approximately 2.70 lb (1.25 kg), this model also supports Viton seal kits for enhanced durability under varying conditions. This priority flow control valve maintains consistent priority flows regardless of input fluctuations, making it an ideal choice for systems requiring reliable hydraulic management without compromising on performance or safety standards.

Bypass/restrictive, fixed-orifice, priority flow controls take an input flow at port 1 and use it to satisfy the priority flow at port 3. If the input flow exceeds the priority flow requirement, the excess is bypassed out port 2. The bypass flow may be used in a secondary circuit.
- Customer must specify a flow rating. Factory set flow ratings are within +/- 10% of the requested setting.
- Maximum pressure at port 3 should be limited to 3000 psi (210 bar).
- A tuneable adjustment control option provides up to +/- 22% variation from the nominal factory pre-set flow. Adjustment is done with +/- 3 turns of the adjust screw. Screw in (CW) to increase flow.
- Both priority and bypass flow are usable up to the system operating pressure.
- Priority remains relatively constant regardless of variation in input flow.
- Bypass flow is not available until priority flow requirements are satisfied.
- Pressure at the bypass port (port 2) may exceed pressure at the priority port (port 3).
- The sharp-edged orifice design minimizes flow variations due to viscosity changes.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
