The Sun Hydraulics FTDAZCN (FTDAZCN) is a 2-way, 2-position proportional throttle valve designed for precise flow control in hydraulic systems. This cartridge valve features normally closed ports 2 and 3, with pilot pressure applied at port 1 to create a metering orifice between ports 2 and 3, proportional to the pressure at port 1. Its dual-path design incorporates a double port area for enhanced performance, and it includes a position switch for confirming the valve's closed status. The valve is factory-sealed and non-serviceable in the field, ensuring reliable operation without tampering. Installation requires careful torque application using a crow's foot wrench due to the preclusion of deep socket wrenches by the position switch. The FTDAZCN can be pressure compensated using external modulating logic elements like LRCXHN for bypass circuits or LPCXHN for restrictive circuits, allowing it to function as an effective flow control device. This valve is a 2-way, 2 position, proportional throttle. Ports 2 and 3 are normally closed. Pilot pressure at port 1 creates a metering orifice between port 2 and 3 that is proportional to the pressure at 1. The metering passage is self-compensating.

- This cartridge is supplied as a sealed, factory set unit and is not field serviceable. Any tampering will violate the product warranty.
- Position switch is CE approved.
- When torquing this cartridge into its cavity, a crow's foot wrench or similar will be required since the position switch precludes the use of a deep socket wrench.
- These valves may be pressure compensated by an external, modulating, logic element. Use LR_C-XHN for a bypass circuit or LP_C-XHN for a restrictive circuit.
- The valve provides a degree of self-compensation and may be used as a flow control. To increase the accuracy of flow control, an external, modulating, logic element can be used to maintain a constant flow over a wider range of flows and pressures. - Ports 1 and 4 should be limited to 500 psi (35 bar).
