The Sun Hydraulics FVCAXBV (FVCAXBV) is a ventable, bypass-restrictive, fixed-orifice priority flow control valve designed to manage hydraulic flow efficiently. This device takes an input flow at port 1 to satisfy the priority flow at port 3. If the input flow surpasses the priority requirement, the excess is redirected out of port 2 for use in secondary circuits. The vent port at port 4 allows remote control operation. Customers must specify a factory-set flow rating, which maintains a precision within 10% of the requested setting. The valve can incorporate a pressure control on port 4 to limit pressure at the priority port; should pressure on bypass port 2 exceed this setting, all flow diverts through the bypass. The valve's maximum operating pressure is capped at 5000 psi (350 bar), with maximum input flows reaching up to 15 gpm (60 L/min). Priority and bypass flows are usable up to system operating pressures, with priority remaining constant despite variations in input flow. Ventable, bypass/restrictive, fixed-orifice, priority flow controls take an input flow at port 1 and use it to satisfy the priority flow at port 3. A vent port (port 4) allows these valves to be controlled remotely.

  • Customer must specify a flow rating. Factory set flow ratings are within +/- 10% of the requested setting.
  • Using a pressure control on port 4 will limit the pressure at the priority port (port 3). If pressure on the bypass port (port 2) exceeds the setting of the pressure control, priority flow will be shut off and all the flow will go out the bypass port.
  • Maximum pressure at port 3 should be limited to 3000 psi (210 bar).
  • Both priority and bypass flow are usable up to the system operating pressure.
  • Priority remains relatively constant regardless of variation in input flow.
