The Sun Hydraulics FXAGXLN (FXAGXLN) is a fixed-orifice, pressure-compensated flow control valve designed for precise flow regulation in meter-in or meter-out applications, even under conditions of wide pressure fluctuations. This valve offers a range of flow rates and features a sharp-edged orifice design that minimizes flow variations due to changes in viscosity. It is engineered for flush mounting, allowing it to be easily integrated into the surface of a manifold with a minimal footprint. The FXAGXLN can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2. The valve supports multiple flow rates: A Flow Rate at 2.0 in/min (32 cc/min), B Flow Rate at 2.5 in/min (40 cc/min), D and F Flow Rates at 3.0 in/min (48 cc/min), H and J Flow Rates at 4.0 in/min (64 cc/min), and L Flow Rate at 4.5 in/min (72 cc/min). It incorporates Sun's floating style construction, reducing the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations within the cavity/cartridge. Designed for use with T8A cavities, the valve belongs to Series P and has a capacity of .5 gpm (2 L/min). The maximum operating pressure is set at 5000 psi (350 bar). Installation requires an internal hex size of 5/16 inch (8 mm) with an installation torque between 25-30 lbf-ft (35-40 Nm). A Viton seal kit is available for this cartridge model. This valve functions as a two-port restrictive flow control if the bypass port on a priority flow control is blocked. The compensating pressure is approximately 100 psi (7 bar), which provides adequate capacity while ensuring proper circuit operation.
