The Sun Hydraulics HDDAMCN628 (HDDAMCN628) is a versatile solenoid-after check cartridge valve designed for lift-lower applications, allowing direct integration into actuators. This hybrid valve combines a direct-acting solenoid poppet valve with a check function, where the check valve permits flow from inlet port 2 to system port 1. When the solenoid is de-energized, flow from port 2 to port 3 is blocked, making it suitable for load-holding applications. The solenoid tube assembly is fatigue-rated for service up to 5000 psi (350 bar), ensuring durability under high-pressure conditions. Models with D or L control feature a detent mechanism in the manual override for temporary actuation with an expected mechanical life of approximately 7,000 cycles. Multiple manual override options are available, although not compatible with weatherized coils. The valve incorporates a wet armature design, where the working fluid surrounds the armature and is exposed to coil-generated heat.
