The Sun Hydraulics NCFBLBV (NCFBLBV) is a versatile needle valve with a reverse-flow check, designed to provide fully adjustable orifice regulation for flow control applications. This model features an integral high-capacity check valve that allows unrestricted flow from port 2 to port 1, making it ideal for systems where reverse flow needs to be managed efficiently. The valve is not pressure compensated, meaning the orifice size regulates flow in proportion to the square root of the pressure differential across ports 1 and 2. With its balanced adjustment mechanism, users can easily adjust the valve even under high-pressure conditions. The NCFBLBV model incorporates a sharp-edged orifice design that minimizes flow variations due to changes in fluid viscosity. It utilizes Sun's floating style construction to reduce the risk of internal binding from excessive installation torque or machining variations. This cartridge is part of the T-16A cavity series with a capacity of 30 gpm (120 L/min) and can operate at a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). The maximum valve leakage is minimal, at just 10 drops per minute at 110 SUS (24 cSt). Installation specifications include a valve hex size of 1-1/4 inches and an installation torque range between 150 and 160 lbf ft. The adjustment screw has an internal hex size of 5/32 inches, while the locknut hex size is set at 9/16 inches with a torque requirement between 80 and 90 lbf in. Weighing in at approximately 1.30 lb (0.60 kg), this needle valve also comes with an optional Viton seal kit for enhanced durability and performance under various operating conditions.
