The Sun Hydraulics NCFBYBN (NCFBYBN) is a needle valve with a reverse flow check, designed to provide precise flow regulation by offering an adjustable orifice. This versatile component allows for infinite adjustments from fully closed to the maximum orifice diameter, ensuring optimal performance in various applications. The integrated high-capacity check valve permits unrestricted flow from port 2 to port 1, enhancing its functionality. Despite not being pressure compensated, this valve is engineered for easy adjustment even at high pressures due to its balanced adjustment mechanism. The sharp-edged orifice design minimizes flow variations caused by changes in fluid viscosity, ensuring consistent performance. The NCFBYBN requires specific installation and adjustment torques: the valve hex size is 1-1/4 inches with an installation torque of 150 - 160 lbf ft (203 - 217 Nm), while the adjustment screw uses a 5/32 inch internal hex size. Weighing approximately 1.30 lb (0.60 kg), this needle valve includes a locknut hex size of 9/16 inch with a torque requirement of 80 - 90 lbf in (9 - 10 Nm).
