The Sun Hydraulics NFABKXV (Material Number: NFABKXV) is a two-port, pilot-stage needle valve specifically designed for regulating pilot flow in main-stage valves or metering input flow in low-flow applications. This cartridge is optimized for pilot flow scenarios and fits into the Sun T8A cavity, making it ideal for use with Sun's pilot-operated main-stage valves. The design eliminates the need for separate pilot lines, requiring only one cavity to accommodate both control and primary functions. It shares a common cavity with all two-position, two-way pilot stage control cartridges, allowing physical interchangeability while maintaining functionality. The valve can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) on ports 1 and 2. The needle adjustment offers fine resolution from fully closed to fully open across three complete turns, ensuring precise control over flow rates. A locking device on the adjustment mechanism ensures consistent orifice diameters and flow rates are maintained. At shutoff, the leakage rate is less than one drop per minute.
