The Sun Hydraulics NFCCYDV (NFCCYDV) is a versatile needle valve designed for precise flow regulation and shutoff applications. This fully adjustable orifice valve allows infinite adjustment from fully closed to the maximum orifice diameter, making it ideal for controlling flow in various hydraulic systems. The NFCCYDV is not pressure compensated and operates by regulating flow proportional to the square root of the pressure differential across ports 1 and 2. It features a balanced adjustment mechanism that facilitates easy adjustments even under high pressures, and its sharp-edged orifice design minimizes flow variations due to changes in fluid viscosity. The bidirectional flow path of this valve prefers the direction from port 1 to port 2, ensuring compatibility with other flow control devices. When fully closed, the adjustment mechanism ensures no leakage. This model is compatible with EPDM seals for use in systems utilizing phosphate ester fluids; however, exposure to petroleum-based substances should be avoided to prevent seal damage. Needle valves are fully adjustable orifices used to regulate flow. They are infinitely adjustable from fully closed up to the maximum orifice diameter. They are not pressure compensated and may be used as flow controls or as shutoff valves.
