The Sun Hydraulics NFECKFN (NFECKFN) is a highly versatile needle valve designed for precise flow regulation in hydraulic systems. It features a fully adjustable orifice that can be set from completely closed to the maximum orifice diameter, providing infinite adjustability. This model is not pressure compensated, making it suitable for use as both a flow control and shutoff valve. The NFECKFN needle valve is built for interchangeability with other 2-port flow control cartridges, maintaining the same flow path and cavity dimensions for ease of integration into existing systems. Although cartridge extension dimensions may vary, this model ensures consistent performance across different installations. The valve operates by regulating flow in proportion to the square root of the pressure differential between ports 1 and 2, thanks to its noncompensating design.
