The Sun Hydraulics PBBBCWN (PBBBCWN) is a pilot-operated pressure reducing valve designed to efficiently manage hydraulic circuits with varying pressure requirements using a single pump. This valve reduces high primary pressure at inlet port 2 to a consistent, lower pressure at port 1. It features exceptionally flat pressure-flow characteristics, ensuring stability and low hysteresis in operation. The valve can handle full reverse flow from the reduced pressure port back to the inlet, although this may close the main spool, so incorporating a separate check valve is advised if reverse free flow is needed. The minimum setting for all spring ranges is 75 psi (5 bar), and the maximum operating pressure should not exceed 5000 psi (350 bar). The PBBBCWN model incorporates Sun's floating style construction, minimizing the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations.
