The Sun Hydraulics PPJFCWV (PPJFCWV) is a pilot-operated, pressure reducing-relieving valve designed to manage high primary pressure efficiently by reducing it to a consistent lower pressure at the outlet port. This model also features a full-flow relief function from the reduced pressure port to the tank port, ensuring optimal performance in demanding applications. Unlike traditional designs with staked-in orifices, this valve has its main stage orifice drilled directly into the piston, enhancing durability and reliability under tough conditions. The maximum allowable pressure at the tank port should not exceed 3000 psi (210 bar), and this pressure is directly additive to the valve setting on a 1:1 basis. While these valves may not be as quick-acting as direct-acting valves, they exhibit stable performance with low hysteresis and exceptionally flat pressure-flow characteristics. The PPJFCWV's recommended maximum inlet pressure varies by adjustment range: D, E, N, and Q ranges are tested with a 2000 psi (140 bar) maximum differential between inlet and reduced pressures; A, B, and H ranges can handle up to 3000 psi (210 bar); C and W ranges can manage inlet pressures of up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve allows reverse flow from the reduced pressure port to the inlet but may require an additional check valve if reverse free flow is needed.   • These valves have the main stage orifice drilled into the piston rather than a staked-in orifice. This allows the valve to survive physically demanding applications.
  • Maximum pressure at port 3 should be limited to 3000 psi (210 bar).
  • Pressure at port 3 is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio and should not exceed 3000 psi (210 bar).
  • Pilot operated reducing, reducing/relieving valves by nature are not fast acting valves. For superior dynamic response, consider direct acting valves.
