The Sun Hydraulics PVFDKDV (PVFDKDV) is a ventable, pilot-operated pressure reducing/relieving valve designed to manage high primary pressures by reducing them to a constant pressure at port 1, while also providing full-flow relief from port 1 to tank port 3. It features a vent port (port 4) that allows for remote control via pilot or two-way valves. This valve is engineered to withstand challenging applications, with the main stage orifice integrated into the piston for durability. The pressure at port 3 contributes directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio, with a maximum limit of 3000 psi (210 bar). Reverse flow from reduced pressure port 1 to inlet port 2 may close the main spool; thus, adding a separate check valve is advised if reverse free flow is necessary.
