The Sun Hydraulics RBAALBV (RBAALBV) is a direct-acting pilot relief cartridge designed to remotely control the pressure setting of other pilot-operated valves. This product is particularly suitable for load-holding applications, providing reliable performance with a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve incorporates a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and longevity in various environments. Notably, this cartridge is corrosion-resistant, with options for external stainless steel components or zinc-nickel plating, making it ideal for use in corrosive conditions. One of the key features of this valve is its ability to handle back pressure on the tank port (port 2), which directly adds to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio. The RBAALBV model can be configured with EPDM seals for systems using phosphate ester fluids; however, exposure to petroleum-based fluids could damage these seals. Additionally, W and Y controls are available with or without special settings, allowing for full-range adjustability or fixed maximum settings as needed. The valve's compact design includes a cavity T-3A series with a capacity of 0.5 gpm (2 L/min) and features such as an adjustment screw internal hex size of 5/32 inch (4 mm) and locknut torque specifications between 80-90 lbf-in (9-10 Nm).
