The Sun Hydraulics RBACFBN (RBACFBN) is a direct-acting, pilot relief cartridge valve designed to remotely control the pressure setting of other pilot-operated valves. This model is particularly suitable for load-holding applications and is engineered for use with higher flow valves due to its capacity being limited to pilot flow. The valve features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability. It incorporates Sun's floating style construction, which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. The RBACFBN model is compatible with systems using phosphate ester fluids when configured with EPDM seals; however, exposure to petroleum-based fluids can damage these seals. The valve operates effectively under a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and has a typical response time of 2 ms. It allows for back pressure on the tank port (port 2), which is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
