The Sun Hydraulics RBACJCN (RBACJCN) is a direct-acting, pilot relief cartridge valve designed for use in controlling the pressure settings of other pilot-operated valves. This product is particularly suitable for load-holding applications and should be used in conjunction with higher flow valves due to its limited capacity to pilot flow. The cartridge features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability. It incorporates Sun's floating style construction, which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding from excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. The valve is compatible with systems using phosphate ester fluids when configured with EPDM seals; however, these seals are not suitable for petroleum-based fluids, greases, or lubricants. The RBACJCN model provides a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and has a typical response time of 2 ms. It allows for adjustment throughout its full range using W or Y controls unless specified otherwise with a special setting that indicates the maximum setting of the valve. The valve's design also accommodates back pressure on the tank port (port 2), which is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
