The Sun Hydraulics RBACKDN (Material Number: RBACKDN) is a direct-acting pilot relief cartridge designed to remotely control the pressure setting of other pilot-operated valves. Ideal for systems requiring precise pressure regulation, this valve is best used in conjunction with higher flow valves due to its limited capacity to pilot flow. Featuring EPDM seals, it is compatible with systems using phosphate ester fluids, but should not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids or greases, as these can damage the seals. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, making it suitable for load-holding applications. The valve's setting can be influenced by back pressure on the tank port at a 1:1 ratio. The RBACKDN model incorporates corrosion-resistant components and is available with options such as external stainless steel or zinc-nickel plating for use in corrosive environments.
