The Sun Hydraulics RBADKWV (RBADKWV) is a direct-acting, pilot relief cartridge designed with back-to-back check valves, enabling it to remotely control two other pilot-operated valves or serve as a thermal relief for both ends of an actuator. This valve is ideal for load-holding applications due to its ability to prevent overpressure from thermal expansion of fluids. The back-to-back check valves are engineered to prevent cross-talk between the two controlled valves, while a single adjustment manages both. It has a check cracking pressure of 15 psi (1 bar), and the pressure at port 3 directly adds to the valve setting. The cartridge features Sun's floating style construction, minimizing potential internal binding from excessive installation torque or machining variations in cavity/cartridge assembly. This Series 1 cavity valve has a capacity of 0.25 gpm (1 L/min) and exhibits typical response times of 2 ms, with maximum leakage at 110 SUS (24 cSt) being only 5 drops/min (0.3 cc/min). Adjustments are made by turning clockwise up to five turns to increase settings, with specific hex sizes required for various components including a valve hex size of 7/8 in.
