The Sun Hydraulics RBADLEN (RBADLEN) is a direct-acting, pilot relief cartridge designed with back-to-back check valves, allowing it to remotely control two other pilot-operated valves or act as a thermal relief for both ends of an actuator. This feature is particularly useful in load-holding applications where preventing overpressure due to thermal expansion of the fluid is critical. The valve's capacity is limited to pilot flow, making it suitable for use with other valves that have comparable pilot flows. The integrated back-to-back check valves effectively prevent cross talk between the two remote-controlled valves. A single adjustment controls both valves, and the check cracking pressure is set at 15 psi (1 bar). Additionally, pressure at port 3 directly adds to the valve setting, enhancing its functionality in various hydraulic systems. The RBADLEN model incorporates Sun's floating style construction, which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. It features a cavity T-11A Series 1 with a capacity of 0.25 gpm (1 L/min) and a typical response time of 2 ms. The maximum valve leakage at 110 SUS (24 cSt) is limited to 5 drops/min (0.3 cc/min).
