The Sun Hydraulics RBAEOCN (RBAEOCN) is a two-port, pilot-stage, direct-acting relief cartridge designed for pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This normally closed valve becomes operational when the inlet pressure at port 1 surpasses the preset spring force, allowing fluid to flow from port 1 to port 2. It employs the Sun T8A two-port cavity, which is compatible with Sun's main stage pilot or vent-to-operate cartridges, thus eliminating the need for separate pilot lines and requiring only one machined cavity for both control and primary functions. The valve features hardened poppet and seat components that ensure consistent operation, low leakage rates, and superior wear characteristics. It can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports. The backpressure at port 2 directly adds to the pressure setting at port 1. This cartridge is configured with EPDM seals suitable for systems using phosphate ester fluids while avoiding petroleum-based fluids to prevent seal damage.
