The Sun Hydraulics RBAEYEE (RBAEYEE) is a two-port, pilot-stage, direct-acting relief cartridge designed for pressure regulation applications. This normally closed valve opens a flow path from port 1 to port 2 when the inlet pressure at port 1 exceeds the spring force setting. It features the Sun T8A 2-port cavity, making it ideal for use with Sun's main stage pilot or vent-to-operate cartridges, eliminating the need for separate pilot lines and requiring only one cavity to accommodate both control and primary functions. Ports 1 and 2 are capable of handling pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve's hardened poppet and seat ensure consistent operation, low leakage rates, and superior wear characteristics. Backpressure at port 2 is directly additive to the pressure setting at port 1. Cartridges with EPDM seals are suitable for systems using phosphate ester fluids but should not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as this will damage the seals. The floating style construction minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. The valve has a capacity of 2.5 gpm (10 L/min) and operates with a response time typically around 2 ms. Maximum valve leakage is rated at 15 drops/min (1 cc/min) under specified conditions.
