The Sun Hydraulics RBATTCV (RBATTCV) is a direct-acting, pilot relief cartridge designed to remotely control the pressure setting of other pilot-operated valves. This component is best used in conjunction with higher flow valves due to its limited capacity to pilot flow. It features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, making it suitable for load-holding applications. The valve's floating style construction minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. Its back pressure on the tank port (port 2) is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio, ensuring precise pressure control. The RBATTCV operates within a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and supports a capacity of 0.25 gpm (1 L/min). Typical response time is around 2 ms, and maximum valve leakage at 110 SUS (24 cSt) is limited to 5 drops/min (0.3 cc/min). The adjustment mechanism involves five full clockwise turns to increase the setting, with specific torque requirements for installation and adjustment components: Valve Hex Size is 7/8 in. (22.2 mm), Valve Installation Torque ranges from 30 - 35 lbf ft (41 - 47 Nm), Adjustment Screw Internal Hex Size is 5/32 in. (4 mm), Locknut Hex Size is 9/16 in. (15 mm), and Locknut Torque ranges from 80 - 90 lbf in. (9 -10 Nm). Weighing approximately .30 lb (.15 kg), this model comes with a Viton seal kit for enhanced durability under varying operational conditions.

Direct-acting, pilot relief cartridges are used to remotely control the pressure setting of other pilot-operated valves. Because capacity is limited to pilot flow, these valves should be used with other higher flow valves.
- Main stage orifice is protected by a 150 micron stainless steel screen.
- Suitable for use in load holding applications.
- Back pressure on the tank port (port 2) is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
