The Sun Hydraulics RDBALBE (RDBALBE) is a direct-acting relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve opens when the inlet port pressure reaches the set point, directing flow to the tank port to limit pressure rise. Notable for its smooth and quiet operation, this valve is essentially zero-leak, dirt tolerant, immune to silting, and offers rapid response times. It features a floating style construction that minimizes internal binding due to installation torque or machining variations. The RDBALBE model is physically and functionally interchangeable with other 2-port relief cartridges within the same frame size and flow path. It can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits. The valve's adjustment screw seals are exposed to system pressure, necessitating pressure removal for adjustments. It maintains performance consistency despite varying oil temperatures and contamination levels.
