The Sun Hydraulics RDDA3CV (Material Number: RDDA3CV) is a nonadjustable direct-acting relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve opens to the tank port when the inlet port pressure reaches the set threshold, thereby throttling flow and limiting pressure rise. Known for its smooth operation, zero leakage, dirt tolerance, and immunity to silting, this valve offers rapid response times. Customers are required to specify their desired settings as these valves are factory set and tamper-proof. The RDDA3CV is suitable for use in cross-port relief circuits and load-holding applications due to its ability to handle maximum pressure at port 2. It remains relatively insensitive to variations in oil temperature and contamination, ensuring consistent performance. The valve's back pressure on the tank port is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio. Non-adjustable direct-acting relief cartridges are normally closed, pressure-limiting valves used to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients.
