The Sun Hydraulics RDDA3DN (RDDA3DN) is a nonadjustable direct-acting relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This valve is normally closed and functions as a pressure-limiting device, opening to tank port 2 when the inlet port 1 pressure reaches the set threshold. It throttles flow to control pressure rise effectively. The RDDA3DN is characterized by its smooth and quiet operation, essentially zero leakage, dirt tolerance, immunity to silting, and rapid response time of approximately 2 milliseconds. Customers must specify the desired setting, which will be factory-set and tamper-proof. This cartridge can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits and load-holding applications. It remains relatively insensitive to variations in oil temperature and contamination.
