The Sun Hydraulics RDFACEN (RDFACEN) is a direct-acting relief cartridge valve designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients by limiting pressure rise through throttling flow to the tank port when the inlet pressure reaches the valve setting. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve features a smooth and quiet operation with essentially zero leakage, making it dirt tolerant and immune to silting, while providing rapid response times. The RDFACEN model is physically and functionally interchangeable with other 2-port relief cartridges of the same frame size, allowing for easy integration into existing systems. It is capable of handling maximum pressures at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits and load-holding applications. The valve's design allows for adjustments only when system pressure is removed, ensuring safe and precise setting modifications. It operates effectively across varying oil temperatures and in environments with oil-borne contamination.
