The Sun Hydraulics RDJACSV (Material Number: RDJACSV) is a direct-acting relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. As a normally closed, pressure-limiting valve, it opens to tank port 2 when the inlet port 1 pressure reaches the valve setting, thereby throttling flow to limit the pressure rise. Known for its smooth and quiet operation, this valve is essentially zero-leak and dirt-tolerant, making it immune to silting and very fast in response. The RDJACSV model is interchangeable with all 2-port relief cartridges, except pilot reliefs, sharing the same flow path and cavity for a given frame size. It can accept maximum pressure at port 2 and is suitable for cross-port relief circuits as well as load-holding applications. The valve's design ensures that it remains relatively insensitive to varying oil temperatures and oil-borne contamination. The backpressure on tank port 2 is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
