The Sun Hydraulics RDJAQDN (RDJAQDN) is a direct-acting relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic systems from pressure transients by utilizing a pressure-limiting mechanism. This normally closed valve opens when the inlet port pressure reaches the set threshold, allowing flow to the tank port and thus controlling pressure increase. Notably smooth and quiet, this valve is engineered for zero leakage and high dirt tolerance, making it immune to silting and ensuring rapid response times. It is interchangeable with other 2-port relief cartridges of the same frame size, offering flexibility in cross-port relief circuits. This model can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) with a capacity of 200 gpm (760 L/min). The RDJAQDN is relatively insensitive to oil temperature variations and contamination, enhancing its reliability in diverse conditions.
