The Sun Hydraulics RPCCCWV (RPCCCWV) is a pilot-operated, balanced-piston relief cartridge designed for precise pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. These normally closed valves open when the inlet port pressure reaches the set valve pressure, allowing flow to the tank port and effectively managing system pressure. Notable for their accuracy, smooth operation, and moderate response speed, these cartridges are interchangeable with other 2-port relief cartridges of the same frame size. They can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and have a capacity of 12 gpm (45 L/min). The RPCCCWV model accepts maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits, although spool leakage should be considered in such applications. A minimum setting of 75 psi (5 bar) is required across all spring ranges. This model is not recommended for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage. The valve's backpressure on the tank port directly adds to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio. The main stage orifice is protected against contamination, ensuring reliable performance.
