The Sun Hydraulics RPECFPV (Material Number: RPECFPV) is a pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge valve designed for precise pressure regulation. This normally closed valve opens to the tank port when the inlet pressure reaches the set point, effectively throttling flow to maintain desired pressure levels. Known for its accuracy, low-pressure rise versus flow, smooth operation, and moderate response speed, this valve is suitable for applications requiring cross-port relief circuits. However, it should not be used in load-holding applications due to spool leakage. Pilot-operated, balanced-piston relief cartridges are normally closed pressure regulating valves. When the pressure at the inlet (port 1) reaches the valve setting, the valve starts to open to tank (port 2), throttling flow to regulate the pressure. These valves are accurate, have low pressure rise vs. flow, they are smooth and quiet, and are moderately fast.
