The Sun Hydraulics RPECMAV (Material Number: RPECMAV) is a pilot-operated, balanced-piston relief cartridge designed for pressure regulation in hydraulic systems. This normally closed valve opens to the tank port when the inlet pressure reaches the set point, thus throttling flow to maintain desired pressure levels. Known for its accuracy and low-pressure rise versus flow characteristics, it operates smoothly and quietly with moderate speed. The RPECMAV cartridges are interchangeable with other 2-port relief cartridges of similar frame size, enhancing compatibility across systems. Pilot-operated, balanced-piston relief cartridges are normally closed pressure regulating valves. When the pressure at the inlet (port 1) reaches the valve setting, the valve starts to open to tank (port 2), throttling flow to regulate the pressure. These valves are accurate, have low pressure rise vs. flow, they are smooth and quiet, and are moderately fast.
