The Sun Hydraulics RPEEFBN (RPEEFBN) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve opens quickly at the expense of smoothness to throttle flow and limit pressure rise when the inlet port 1 reaches the valve setting. It features low pressure rise versus flow and operates with remarkable speed. The valve can handle maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits, though spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, ensuring durability and reliability.
