The Sun Hydraulics RPEEMHN (RPEEMHN) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. These normally closed, pressure-limiting valves open quickly when the inlet port 1 pressure reaches the set value, directing flow to tank port 2 to control pressure rise. Notably, they feature low pressure rise versus flow and rapid response times. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, though these valves are not suitable for load-holding applications due to spool leakage. They can accept maximum pressure at port 2 and are compatible with cross-port relief circuits; however, spool leakage should be considered in such applications. All two-port relief cartridges except pilot reliefs are interchangeable in terms of flow path and cavity for a given frame size.
