The Sun Hydraulics RPEEOCN (RPEEOCN) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve opens rapidly when the inlet port pressure reaches the set threshold, directing flow to the tank port to limit further pressure increase. It is especially suitable for cross-port relief circuits, although spool leakage should be considered in such applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen. However, it is not recommended for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage. The valve's setting can be adjusted using W or Y controls and allows back pressure on the tank port to add directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio. All two-port relief cartridges from Sun Hydraulics are interchangeable within the same frame size in terms of flow path and cavity. This model incorporates Sun's floating style construction to minimize internal part binding due to installation torque or machining variations.
