The Sun Hydraulics RPEETCV (RPEETCV) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This valve is normally closed and acts as a pressure-limiting device by opening to the tank port when the inlet port reaches the set pressure, thus throttling flow and limiting further pressure increase. It features a low-pressure rise versus flow and is noted for its rapid response time of approximately 2 milliseconds. The valve can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and has a capacity of 25 gpm (95 L/min). A key feature is its ability to accept maximum pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits; however, users should consider spool leakage in such applications.
