The Sun Hydraulics RPEEYEV (Material Number: RPEEYEV) is a fast-acting, pilot-operated, balanced piston relief cartridge designed to protect hydraulic components from pressure transients. This normally closed, pressure-limiting valve opens quickly when the inlet port pressure reaches the valve setting, redirecting flow to tank port 2 to limit pressure rise. It features low pressure rise versus flow and rapid response, making it suitable for applications requiring quick relief actions. The valve can handle maximum pressure at port 2 and is appropriate for cross-port relief circuits, although spool leakage should be considered in such configurations. A 150-micron stainless steel screen protects the main stage orifice. However, the valve is not recommended for load-holding applications due to potential spool leakage.
